Tastemaker Tuesdays: A Night of Industry Influencers
Posted on 20 June 2017
Tastemaker Tuesdays was a fashion forward idea first presented to me by Patrick Harrison, better knows as 4TAE. He is a talented musician based out of charm city. Our notion was to throw an event with a dual purpose; highlighting artists, and networking. The attendees are given the opportunity to mingle with other professionals from the music and fashion industry. The goal being the showcase of one artist, and one model. Bringing exposure and setting in motion dope future collaborations. FRS was called in to dress the party the Host, Co-Host, Hip Hop Artist, and Model. We were also brought on board to fill the room with people in the fashion world. If you get enough driven, like-minded individuals in one room, magic is bound to happen.
Last Tuesdays Artist Highlight: Greenspan. There were TV's airing his newest video; "Cool or Whateva" featuring Breezay, a song he also performed live for the party. We listened to tracks off of his news album, "Never Gon Die." FRS dressed Greenspan in head to toe King Apparel- the rapper just always looks so smooth in our gear...
The model highlighted was the elegant and fierce Destiny Elleinad. She is a runway and print model, who was born and raised in Baltimore. Her energy was nothing short of vibrant! She is a model coach, and 1/3 of a multimedia group that hosts mini comp card days and mini model camps. She is currently merging into short films as well. FRS had Destiny in the new PUMA X CAREAUX line. She wore the limited edition dress with swirling colors turning her into a piece of walking art.
The event was co-hosted by the talented 4TAE, and Shepsworth Bentley. 4TAE is a Baltimore-based musician specializing in the trombone, vocals, and songwriting. He is a touring musician who's played alongside notable artists, such as jazz violinist Regina Carter and Raheem Devaughn. he has opened for Anthony David, Anthony Hamilton, Algebra Blessett, and Lupe Fiasco to name a few...For 4TAE, FRS went with a classic menswear look; yet we made it club level... Pairing a WeSC crew neck with Diamond Supply shorts, patterned socks, and very fine Artola chukka boots.
Shepsworth Bentley is a host, model, and hip hop artist. He has a new EP in the works, "I'm not like you." He kept the crowd hype all night. FRS had no problem dressing this seasoned model. His silhouette looked incredible in a Heathen tee, Massiv tailored pant, and the woven Clear Weather sneaker just spoke for itself.
Sangria Patio Bar was the perfect location. They had drinks flowing, and by the end of the night, the club was full of entrepreneurs, fashion photographers, dancers, musicians, models, and so forth. We brought the makers, and the taste was divine.
