Tretorn: From Sweden to The Streets
Posted on 09 August 2017
Tretorns are rich in Heritage, alike Baltimore. Founded in 1891 by Johan Dunker in Helsenborg Sweden, the company was born from the late industrial revolution and boasts enduring success. Tretorn started as tire producers, and this high quality rubber manufacturing has been honored in their sneakers for generations.
Tretorns are no longer exclusivly seen on tennis courts and it's elite players. The new modern silhouettes are tough enough for streetwear. There are varying textures; crushed velvets, classic leather as well as patent, even mirrored leathers. The bold platform gives an extra boost for a playful day shoe, yet also makes the sneak easy to wear at night. The silver sneaker reflects light, water, and catches anyones eye from a mile away.
We took on the streets of Baltimore in a few of the newest styles. Heads turned as we climbed trees and walked alongside monuments. Tretorn's presence was certainly made known in the neighborhood.
